After graduation from Duke Law School in 1996, Renee focused the first 15 years of her practice on the defense of medical professionals across the state. She successfully litigated more than 15 multi-week trials and hundreds of other cases to resolutions that preserved the careers and reputations of hundreds of physicians and practitioners throughout North Carolina. She earned the accolades and respect of fellow attorneys, judges and law professors across the state for her excellence in the courtroom and her zealous representation of her clients.

Upon deciding to step away from trial work, Renee turned her skills to business endeavors. Prior to law school, she had developed a passion for small business growth and preservation as a successful financial consultant to family-owned businesses. So in early 2012, while continuing to practice law and manage the law firm, she jumped at the opportunity to become the Chief Executive Officer and Manager of a new franchise in Georgia. She created the business plan and followed it, building the franchise up from scratch over the next two years into a profitable, successful business with more than 300 satisfied customers. She drafted the organizational documents, formed the legal entity, hired and managed employees, ran all aspects of the operations of the business, handled the accounting, dealt with the franchisor, purchased equipment, negotiated leases, developed marketing and advertising strategies, handled community relations and ran every aspect of the newly-formed company. She continues to run all aspects of this business as it continues to grow in profitability and customer-base. Having acquired priceless real-world experience in business startup, growth and development, Renee is now turning her experience, knowledge, passion for business and intelligence to assisting other business owners in realizing their dreams of self-employment, business ownership, profitability and giving back to their communities through the creation of jobs and opportunities for others.
